Over the last month, I have had the worst spamming (junk email, viruses and trojans) I've ever seen. These spammers search for email addresses - as text - in web pages. Once they find an email address, they add it to their lists and the spamming starts.

So one way to get around this is to NOT put your email address on your web page as text, but as a graphic or image. If you put a cross-hatched background on the image you can also fool any attempts by computers to convert the image to text. Another trick is to add in 'junk' text with instructions that a human can understand, but a computer probably cannot.
